How to use your YouTube Content Library

This is your private record of every YouTube post you create. It lives in your browser. Nothing is stored online, nothing is shared. Open it whenever you need to know what you have made, what is live, and what is working.

First time? Start with Setup

Click the Setup tab and spend two minutes adding your playlists, thumbnail versions and destination URLs. Your dropdowns will be pre-loaded from then on -- no typing the same values repeatedly every time you log a post.

Step 1 -- Log a post when you create it

Click Add content and fill in what you know. Destination URL and Thumbnail version fields are now dropdowns populated from your setup. You do not need all the fields straight away -- add analytics numbers later when they are available.

Set status to Draft when you create the post. Change it to Live the moment you publish. This keeps your This week count accurate.

Step 2 -- Update analytics once a week

Go into YouTube Analytics and note the numbers for each live post. Click Edit to update: views, watch time, likes, comments, shares, subscribers gained, click-through rate.

Watch time and CTR together tell the full story. High CTR but low watch time means your title is working but the video is not delivering on its promise.

Step 3 -- Mark what is working

Click the next to any post that is performing well. These appear on the Top performers tab so you can see patterns and make better decisions about what to create next.

Updating your setup

As your YouTube presence grows, go back to the Setup tab to add new URLs, hashtag sets or other values. Click Save setup and your dropdowns update immediately.

Backing up your data

Your data is saved in this browser on this device. Click Export CSV regularly to keep a backup. To move to a new device, export your CSV first.

Set up your library

Add your recurring values below -- URLs, hashtag sets, audio names and more. Click Save setup and your dropdowns will be pre-loaded every time you log a post. Update any time as your account grows.
